When to write

• Metadata corrections – if you notice an incorrect title, author name, publication date, or category placement. For example, a title that belongs under “Diaries, Letters & Life Stories” but appears in “Critical Writing & Cultural Debate,” or an essay collection like Essays on horse subjects that might be better placed in a different section.
• File or reading issues – unreadable files, missing text, garbled characters, or formatting problems in a specific format (EPUB, PDF, etc.). Please mention the device or browser and the ebook title. For instance, if a reading note for Letters from a living dead man does not display properly on a particular e-reader, let us know the model and format.
• Accessibility problems – if a file does not work with your screen reader, lacks proper heading structure, or presents other barriers. We aim to support all readers and appreciate detailed reports.
• Privacy or data questions – inquiries about how we handle personal information, or requests related to your data. We take your privacy seriously and will respond to such matters promptly.
• Copyright or rights concerns – if you believe a title is not in the public domain in your jurisdiction, or if you are a rights holder with a legitimate claim. Please note that public-domain status varies by country; we rely on our own research and welcome corrections.
• General editorial observations – suggestions, corrections to our reading notes, or contextual essays. For example, if you spot an error in the analysis of Essays in Zen Buddhism or have additional context for The steps of life: further essays on happiness, we would be glad to hear from you.

What to include

To help us act on your report, please provide as many of the following details as possible:

• The exact page URL (the web address where the issue appears).

• A clear description of the observed problem. For metadata, state what is incorrect and what the correct information should be. For files, describe what you see versus what you expect. For accessibility, detail which assistive technology you use and what fails.
• If the issue involves copyright or rights, include any supporting information you can share, such as the jurisdiction and relevant public-domain status. We take such matters seriously and will review them carefully.

When we receive your message, we review it and, where possible, investigate the issue. For metadata corrections, we verify the information against authoritative sources before updating the catalogue. For file issues, we test the reported format on multiple devices and release a corrected version if needed. Accessibility reports are prioritised and may lead to revised files or improved markup. Copyright concerns are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and we may remove a title from the catalogue if we find credible evidence that it is not in the public domain in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not send automated acknowledgments, but we do keep a record of all correspondence and may follow up if further clarification is needed.
